Founded in 1987, Brevard Aikikai is a member dojo of the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and the United States Aikido Federation (USAF).
Aikido is a Japanese martial art which puts a strong emphasis on personal development and self-defense. It is usually called the gentle martial art, and can be practiced by children, men and women of all ages, regardless of size.
Students learn through repetitive practice and taking turns as attackers and defenders in an earnest and energetic manner.
