A. Don't be afraid to ask about qualifications and specialties and how long they've been in practice.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. How do you do this without getting sore and tired? It's like anything that you practice doing, you build up stamina, certain muscle groups get stronger, and you stretch and use good body mechanics to avoid overstressing your anatomy.

A. What do you want to get out of your treatment? Are you looking for pain relief, relaxation, a dedicated foot massage, energy work?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. When you love what you do, it's not work! After 12 years and thousands of massage, I still love what I do and strive to make each massage pleasurable and beneficial for each individual client. Personalized service is the key.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. The naked customer strolling down the hall to go to the bathroom...we got a shock, then a chuckle. When we asked him about it (after his massage) he told us he was a nudist and didn't even give it a thought...with a grin, we gave him a towel for next time!

A. I'm very relaxing and good at putting people at ease.

A. Don't know, something about it just felt right!

A. A client was so relaxed, he fell asleep repeatedly.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I do continuing education every year, my latest classes are focused on therapy for the specific muscles used in the game of golf. I also study esalen relaxation massage.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Research massage schools in the area, and have the desire to be in a helping profession. Know that this profession is physically demanding but rewarding. ps--you won't get rich!
