Prior to opening a practice in South Florida, Scott Kitchen worked with large local architecture firms for over 20 years. His experience spans from high-rise multi-use buildings to single family homes. Patty Hernandez is a licensed contractor with 6 years of residential experience. We believe that a successful design-build is a team effort' collaboration between clients, engineers, contractors, and designers are all essential to a successful project. We also believe landscapes are inseparable from structures and interiors. We find modern principles to be timeless. Our first task with each project is to understand the client’s vision and need. I have worked with many architects in my career. Some good, some bad. Scott is one of the best. He puts a great deal of time and effort into making every part of the project as close to perfect as possible. He has a lot of hands on experience so his designs are practical as well as being livable and beautiful. I can't recommend Scott enough.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on size and scope of work. Fees are typically calculated with square footage in mind. Alternatively, fees can also be calculated as a percentage of the project cost.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically meet over the phone first to understand the client's need. After confirming we are a mutual good fit, we will coordinate an onsite meeting to further discuss the vision of the project. Once contracted, we begin the Conceptual Design process. Later, we discuss the drawings, collaborate on any changes needed to proceed with Construction Documents/drawings needed for permit approvals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Scott Kitchen has a Master's in Architecture from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's in Design from University of Florida.
