Hired on Thumbtack

Hired on Thumbtack

I hired this pro after receiving numerous Thumbtack messages and personal texts and direct phone calls. We agreed that he would start the project at 2pm, Sunday August 3. After leaving his office he called and said he was on his way but needed to stop at Home Depot and did not arrive until 4:30pm. He worked for about an hour and then went back to Home Depot for additional supplies. He also mistakenly sent me pictures of the project that he meant to send to his family member apparently to get tips on how to complete the project. He did not arrive back until 7:15pm. He finished mounting the TV at 11:30pm but damaged the drywall and left a little gap between the mounting plate and the wall! He promised to fix it at no charge. We agreed that he would return on Wednesday, August 7th at 4:30pm to repair the damage. He cancelled that appointment and we rescheduled for Thursday at 1pm. He didn’t arrive until 2:03pm explaining that he had a flat tire that had to be fixed. I arrived home from work to check on the status but the pro was not at my house. He claimed he was out at Home Depot and was now back at the house remounting the TV. He explained the compound needed to dry and he would have to finish up on Friday. When I returned home he had left. He left trash on the floor, the HDMI cable to the cable box was not properly installed not to bother coming back, I would finish up myself. Very unprofessional! Very expensive for a supposed 20+ TV installer to damage my wall! I would not recommend this pro after my experience!
