Introduction: Learn Classical Guitar with a renowned guitarist with over 40 years of experience as an international performer, professor, festival director, and international competition juror! ** PLEASE NOTE: CLASSICAL GUITAR ONLY - (NOT ELECTRIC, BLUES, OR JAZZ) ** Carlos Molina has been a guitar professor since 1969, starting at the National Conservatory Amadeo Roldan in Havana, Cuba, and at the University of Havana Superior Institute of the Arts (ISA) in 1976, where he was appointed Chairman of the Guitar Department two years later. Once in the U.S., Molina joined the music faculty at Miami Dade College, and in 1987, initiated the guitar program at Florida International University, where he taught for eleven years. Courses included Guitar Performance, Guitar Ensemble, and History of the Guitar, which he required mandatory for guitar majors. Molina has also taught at the National Guitar Summer Workshop and New England Music Camp in the US, and at the Conservatoire Britten of Perigueux in France; and has given Master Classes at Haart School of Music, University of Texas, Akron University, University of Tempe, Universidad de la Axarquia, Spain, Universidad de Veracruz, Mexico, as well as at international guitar festivals and conservatories throughout Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and his native Cuba. As a Juror, Molina has juried 36 international guitar competitions worldwide, including seven times at the Guitar Foundation of America, International Competition. In addition, he has directed numerous international guitar festivals, and founded The Miami Classical Guitar Society in 1987. PRIVATE LESSONS Private Lessons are held at the Molina Guitar Studio in Miami, FL. Molina presently has capacity for several new private students. He mainly teaches intermediate to advanced level, and is open to accepting beginners of any age. Molina also mentors and prepares advanced players for international guitar competitions, and also teaches lessons worldwide through Skype!
