I previously hired another attorney outside Thumbtack, what a big mistake that was. After 3 months of getting the run-around, i decided to post a request on Thumbtack on a Saturday afternoon. Within minutes, Brent Sibley had responded to my post, and followed up immediately with his personal cell phone number. I called him right away, and he answered, very friendly, even on a Saturday at 4pm. He was extremely nice and listened to my injury story. He scheduled a meeting for me to come into his office in Hollywood first thing Monday morning. I met with Mr Sibley and his senior paralegal Paul, without waiting at all. They spent nearly an hour with me, counseling me on the process and how best to proceed. I could tell that Brent was the real deal and was going to be totally different than the first lawyer. I was so confident that I signed all of his paperwork immediately and fired my other attorney. Brent created my private encrypted group chat right after the meeting and I have been in constant contact with him and his staff while they figure out my case. My case is still in the early stages but I have full confidence that Brent and his team are going to do the best possible job for me. I am so happy I found him. He actually told me that this happens all the time, where injured people sign up with older law firms who are lazy and give their clients no attention at all. I posted my request on thumbtack Monday night around 9 PM. Brent immediately responded with a welcome message and another follow-up message. I had to work the next day but my husband was in touch with him immediately. Brent personally called and texted my husband the next day and we had a meeting with him set up the next morning at 8:30 AM. Brent sat with us for over an hour and explained to us exactly how a personal injury case works. We felt very comfortable and we hired him at the end of the meeting. Brent explained that the biggest variable in Florida car crash cases is the insurance of the person who crashes into you. Unfortunately Florida law does not require people to carry injury liability insurance. So he informed us that he would immediately contact the insurance company to find out if the person who crashed into me had any insurance for my injuries. By law they have 30 days to give you this information but he said he would try to get it for us much faster. Sure enough just one day later Brent followed up with us to confirm that the person did in fact have injury insurance, thank goodness. My husband wanted to schedule a follow-up meeting to make sure that we were on the same page and understood exactly how to move forward. Brent came into the office Friday morning at 7:30 AM to accommodate us before taking our son to school. Brent explained exactly how much insurance there was and how the process would work in the future. I feel so comfortable having Brent as my attorney.. I have seen many other comments and reviews about personal injury lawyers that never speak to their clients and I would feel awful if that was me. I am so thankful that I did not hire one of the big law firms on the billboards. Thank goodness for the thumbtack app and helping me find attorney Brent Sibley.

In September 2014 I was driving home from work and a young girl ran a red light and crashed into my car. It was a major crash and my car was totaled. Long story short, Brent advised me to try to calm down and told me that he would personally meet me at the hospital to go over what had happened. As soon as Brent got to the hospital, he explained exactly how the process worked and made me feel like I was his only client. He spent an hour with me in the emergency room while I waited for the doctors and nurses to clear me from any major injuries. From that moment onwards- Brent communicated directly with me about every aspect of my case. I dealt with his other team members also (Tom is awesome) but I always had the option of going to Brent when I wanted his opinion. Also, Brent's response time is epic. He normally gets back to you within 5-10 minutes, consistently. My case was quickly scheduled for trial because of low-ball settlement offers from the insurance company. Sure enough- the month before trial - Brent settled my case for 10X the amount the insurance company had offered previously. In Miami there are so many people who promise you things and never deliver. Brent delivered on every single expectation I had. If you hire Brent- you will see exactly what I am talking about.

I work in a orthopedic surgeon’s office that has had mutual patient/clients with this law firm. I have no affiliation with them at all. I have worked on cases with Brent and his law firm for almost 10 years. As someone who works with his office and his staff, I can tell you they run a very tight operation. They are always communicating with their clients. They provide a level of service which nearly no other law firm provides. Thank God I called Sibley Law Firm I had retained a different law firm at first and was being treated as a number instead of a human being. Then I decided to fire prior firm and attain Sibley Law. I then went to see a Real Doctor for my injuries and was treated with the correct care needed. Without having Sibley Law as my representation I honestly can't imagine what would've happened. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We only work on "contingency". This means that we only make money if we obtain money for our clients. The standard % varies depending on the type of case. We will ALWAYS make the arrangement clear BEFORE any paperwork is signed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Totally depends on the clients preference. The most common scenarios are 1- Brent will come to your home or office to meet with you and discuss your case. 2 You will come to our office to discuss your case. 3- After a phone or video chat- our clients can sign the retainer agreement electronically.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am one of the few lawyers who also has substantial training in business, finances, and economics. I have a masters degree in business and finance. I know how to balance risk and reward in order to maximize the money I get for my clients.
