Thank you for your feedback. I believe it’s important to clarify several points so there is an accurate record of what occurred. From the beginning, the client repeatedly requested a discount and negotiated the price down to the minimum possible. The scope of work was clearly explained and agreed upon based on that reduced budget. The walls had multiple old layers of paint, which took an entire day to remove. In some areas, due to the condition of the existing walls, it was not possible to bring them to a “brand new” state without significantly expanding the scope and cost. This was communicated to the client during the job. Regarding the baseboards, the floor was uneven and deformed, which caused some gaps underneath. This is a structural condition of the flooring, not an installation error, and it directly affects how baseboards sit. Despite this, the room was left in much better condition compared to how it was originally. At no point was the job “rushed” against the client’s wishes. The work timeline was discussed, and the finish achieved was consistent with the agreed budget. Expecting a completely new, high-end renovation for $500 is not realistic, and no professional would offer that level of work at that price. All unused materials were left at the property. Any items taken were disposable materials such as brushes and paint rollers, which are not reusable. Nothing belonging to the client was removed improperly. When the client expressed concerns, I offered to return and address the details he was unhappy with. That offer was declined. Unfortunately, it became clear that the intent was to further reduce the agreed price rather than allow corrections. I take pride in my work and always aim to be transparent and fair. Unfortunately, this was a difficult experience due to unrealistic expectations relative to the budget. I stand by the work completed based on the conditions and agreement in place.
