- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Video Production cost, just how much is it? This is the golden question. Asking this question is kind of like asking, How much does a car cost? Well i guess it all depends on what kind of car you want? A 1995 V6 Honda civic, with 250,000 miles? or would you maybe prefer a Bentley Continental GTC V8. well these are two very different cars, one of them is by many estimates, an inexpensive, not highly regarded car that will just get you from A-B (sometimes). The other could be considered very flashy, expensive, and extremely luxurious. Both of these cars will drive on the road just the same, they will both take up the same amount of space in a Mall parking lot. and they both have an engine, and 4 wheels. However, one will turn heads, while the other wouldn't get a second glance. This analogy is very fitting when it comes to video production cost. We first must understand that your idea, the vision of what you want your video to look like will ultimately determine the cost. Once we are clear on what you see in your mind, then we can have a conversation about cost. Some people simply want a basic video to show on YouTube, not much fuss, not to concerned with lighting, and sound. Others may want a cutting edge masterpiece that they are going to premier at a trade show to promote their business. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The best thing to do is to jump on a quick call to go over details, but generally the production process is broken down into 3 basic phases. #1. Pre Production: It all starts with a creative meeting to discuss and develop your idea, during this process it’s our job take your idea and create a clear vision for the project. this can also include story boarding, scripting, location scouting, and casting talent for your project. #2. Production: Lights camera action! this is the fun part. This is where the right crew is put together to create the masterpiece. Including lighting and camera equipment, audio and electrical, make-up, catering, etc. Depending on budget, a crew can range anywhere from 1 to 50 people all experts in their fields, tailoring and crafting your idea into a final and workable product. #3. Post Production: The proverbial cherry on top. The editing portion of the production involves skillfully placing the footage together, scoring music, adding special effects, animations, professional voice over, and putting in all the finishing touches. Once complete we can deliver your project in multiple formats . We will also provide you with a web ready video that you can use on-line at no additional cost.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Beverly Boy Industries, was established in December of 2001 at the Beverly Family home in Chicago IL. Originally Beverly Boy Industries, was comprised of multiple company ideas, publishing, real-estate, apparel, and productions. after discussing each idea, it was decided to put our energy behind the production aspect. Hence Beverly Boy Productions was born. We were originally a Theatrical production company, once the first play we produced didnt do so well, we set our sights on video production in 2003. In the early days we produced small TV commercials for local businesses and churches, funeral homes, or whoever would give us a shot. In 2008 we landed our first commercial with a large Advertising agency with a budget of over $20k. We thought we had made it, but little did we know the recession was right around the corner. As business came to a screeching halt, we tightened our boot straps and struggled thought the economic downturn for at least 2 years, all while staying in business, and keeping a good name. In 2012 we began tirelessly networking an aggressively campaigning to inundate the southeast video production market, business started picking up again. Once we saw that we had mastered this industry in our market, Our clients started to request our services in other cities. Orlando, then Atlanta, then Houston...before we knew it, in 2014 we were a nationwide company producing multiple projects per week.
