- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes they have a class twice a year at the Collier County extension service, it goes over new practices in chemicals and new laws that have to do with fertilizer and licenses. I get to meet a lot of people in my field of work and they're always coming up with new fertilizer combination and chemicals that better help the plant center also more environmental friendly. make a lot of connections and a lot of friends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I work for several years being an operations manager for several lawn maintenance companies, irrigation companies, and pest-control companies. Then I finally had the opportunity to start out on my own and with all the lessons that I've learned working for other companies who the owners are still my friend save me a lot of growing pains. And basically I love the freedom of being outdoors and working for myself it's the American dream that I've always wanted.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common jobs are irrigation, mulch, plant installation, fertilizing, and lawn maintenance.
