Covenant Church of Naples routinely incorporates video into our communications strategy as a means of both effectively and efficiently getting out the word to a large and diverse congregation. This was never more important than when we launched a $12.5M capital campaign 3 weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic altered our lives and prevented us from meeting for 8 weeks. Fortunately we had worked with Bluematter Studios to produce several videos of varying lengths giving testimony to the need for the expansion of the facilities and how that was to be done and the urgent nature of why now. As a result, we continued the campaign, although not being able to meet together and the campaign was over subscribed and the construction has begun on schedule. Bluematter and Ryan McInerney were essential to this result. We were able to capture the dynamic history of the church, the need for the expansion and the vision of what that would mean through our partnership with them. From the very first concept discussions through the research and capture of the many images needed to the final editing so that the story was clear was a great collaborative process. Last Spring we contracted with Bluematter Studios to help us create compelling videos to raise more than $12M in a capital campaign. We had a number of challenges to overcome in order to have a successful campaign including a generationally diverse congregation, a global pandemic, and general economic standstill. Through the whole process, Ryan was exceptional at helping us craft a compelling message to our church about why we needed to have this campaign, and why we needed to do it right then. He then produced several outstanding video pieces that enabled us to tell our story to the congregation in a way that was both informative and motivational. Within a couple of months, by God’s grace, our campaign was fully pledged! We could not have been more pleased, not only with the outcome, but also with the process of working with Bluematter.
