- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked in corporate technology for 15 years, and although it was a great career, it was all very focused on improving the company's bottom line for our clients, not the human individual. I have always had a personal desire to connect and impact individuals lives, to make a difference in someone's LIFE.. not just their checkbook. When I was presented with the Coaching opportunity, it just felt right. I am able to connect with people on a personal level, get to know them and help them feel better and believe differently about themselves. I know that the work I am doing as a Coach makes a difference in people's lives, and that is why I decided to pursue this field full time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you can connect with your Coach, on a personal level. I feel like you should think of a your Coach as a friend, who you don't want to let down by no showing up and giving your best... not like some drill sergeant who is going to bark orders at you over the phone or email. You want to be coached by someone that you WANT to stay accountable to --- that is how you will achieve the best results in the long term.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
We are not in this business for the money! Yes, there is money exchanged for the purchase of your Health & Fitness Plan, it is a business after all. However, that is not WHY we devote our time and heart to coaching you through these programs. We want to see YOU succeed, so we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that these programs WORK for EVERYone, at any stage in their fitness journey, and that we were a part of your journey to success. It is personally rewarding and fulfilling to know that you have impacted someone's life positively through your work.
