About Amber's Cleaning Service

Hi! My name is Amber, your new housekeeper. I can do deep cleaning as well as the little things you don't have time for in your busy lives. I can work as often as you want. It can be daily, weekly, monthly, or just one time only. I do not charge hourly. I charge by the job, that way if it takes extra time it doesn't cost you a dime.

I also do home organizing as well as rental trash outs and cleaning.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I am a cleaner, so my jobs are always related to cleaning. I make beds, clean all rooms, wash windows, clean bathrooms, sweep, mop, dust... whatever you need done.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. First of all, call me! Please let me know how big of a house I will be cleaning. I don't care if it's a trailer or a mansion, I will clean it. It is just for my own preference, so I can get a feel for your house. I would also like to know what I would be doing, generally. Then lets set up a meeting in your home, so we can do a walk through and decide on a price together. Also, please let me know if I will be using your cleaning products or mine.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. One room at a time. That's what I do. It's not a secret, but it keeps me focused. Thanks to a suggestion from one of my clients, I cut the house in half. I fully complete one half, then do the other half. That way I am not running back and forth, and wasting time. By taking her advise, I have cut almost 3 hours off my first cleaning day!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. How many square feet is the house? How many bedrooms and bathrooms? What do you want cleaned? How often do you want your house cleaned? What dollar range do you have in mind for the amount of work to be done? (It's always good to have a dollar amount in mind.) What is your address and contact numbers? When can I start?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I believe in quality over quantity. I do not rush through my work. Instead, I work hard to get things done right. I love the good feeling when the owner of the house comes home and ooohs and ahhhs over how clean their house is. I take great pride in my work. Though I go slower to ensure a cleaner house, I also understand you do not want me taking all day. The first time tends to take longer, but after that I will be out in good time. If there is a specific time please let me know.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I LOVE to clean!! It's awesome to see the house shine when I am done. I am a neat and orderly person, and I like to bring order and cleanliness to other people's houses. My mind races a million mile an hour, but when I am cleaning I am concentrating on my task, and I get a break from my thoughts lol. I also love to organize. I am a list person lol. Partly because of my bad memory, but also so I can seee what needs to be done.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. 1. Do you do windows? Yes. 2. How much do you charge? It depends on the distance I have to drive, and the amount of work needed to be done. I also figure in how often I am needed. 3. What all will you clean? I will clean whatever is needed. 4. When can you start? Today!!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I was cleaning a bathroom at one of my clients' house, and came across a little surprise. While sweeping behind the toilet, I swept up a live snake! It was smaller than an earthworm, and it was black and fast! I grabbed a Q tip and let it wind around. I then took it outside and set it free.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I am a single mother of a beautiful 10 year old and 17 month old little girls. I work only to take care of them, and to make sure they get what they need. I am honest, and I never steal. Not even a piece of paper or paper clip... nothing. I am reliable and very hardworking. I am also flexible. If I am needed on a certain day due to an upcoming party or other special occasion, I will be there.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Some of my ex- in laws (I will not name names of course) were very messy, bordering on filthy, people. Every so often, they would call me and very sweetly (really lol their tongues were dripping honey) asked me if I could come over and clean their house. Usually, it was when someone important was coming over. I found that I really enjoyed seeing the transformation from not so clean to very clean, and knowing it was I who made it that way. I also loved the happiness on their faces when the job was done. So, I have continued, all my adult life, to clean other peoples houses. It really gives me a sense of accomplishment, and I still have plenty of time to be at home and spend time with my kids as well as do my duties as wife and mother.
