About
I have been working with dogs and their humans for over 30 years. I essentially "teach dogs and train people". - Basic obedience, puppy kindergarten and dog "problems". - This is not rocket science...(but it 'is' another language) ...and that's where I come in!
Because of my experience, I can deal with any and every thing you need help with, when it comes to your pooch. I have literally "seen it all"! - I help couples, individuals and families with kids, as well as the elderly. - I never met a dog I didn't love since about 1960, when I was 5.

Greg came to our home today and we were immediately impressed. He arrived on time, was professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain the psychology of the dog world and how our role fits into it. We recently adopted a 2‑year‑old rescue who is very strong and had become difficult to walk because of her excessive leash pulling.
Within minutes, Greg gave us practical tools and clear guidance. We went on a walk together and, truly within 10 minutes, our dog was walking calmly at our side with no pulling at all. She caught on so quickly with his approach, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Don’t fall for training packages that cost thousands of dollars. Greg delivers real value, real results, and real understanding. Highly recommend.

Loved Gregg! I have a very stubborn 6 month old Frenchie. He listened and gave me good information on how I should deal with her. I liked how he didn’t just tell me what to do but is knowledgeable about the psychology of how puppies think! I would definitely recommend him if you have any doggy issues! Thanks Hregg!

We had a great experience working with Gregg / Dog’s Best Friend. Our puppy was struggling with leash behavior. Gregg did a great job of explaining and demonstrating the why and how to correct the issues we were experiencing. His techniques are working and he stays in contact with you after the training session to check on progress and offer advice.
Details: 6 - 12 months old • Extra Small (1 - 15 lbs) • Private lessons • Aggressive behavior modification • Leash pulling • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

Gregg is WONDERFUL!
We have a house with two adult males and just added a female puppy. Our boys are jumpers and barkers which is not pleasant for our guests. They also lead us around on the leash.
Gregg met us at our home and spent 2.5 hours evaluating then working with each dog. He trained everyone in the family and emphasized positive praise and consistency.
I would never had believed it, but in just a couple short days the boys have already stopped jumping and the barking is quickly declining. They are vastly improved on walks too.
Gregg is such a great teacher and deeply understands a dog’s needs and tendencies. He has checked in with us and encouraged us to follow up with him for additional support as needed. I can’t wait to see our progress in another couple weeks.
I highly recommend Gregg!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's pretty straightforward.- I work by the hour. You only pay me for the exact amount of time I'm at your place, (and I tend to work pretty fast)...so it doesn't make sense to me, to charge dog owners an exorbitant "package" fee for my service,
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first visit is almost always somewhere around two hours. Many times (depending on the situation of course) that's the only time a dog owner needs to see me. This is 'usually' the case with puppy kindergarten and dog behavioral problems. - Basic obedience is generally a series of visits an hour or less each, about a week apart, but starts with a two hour session as well. - If you are a good student, things will move fast, and you will get an amazing result from what I bring to your situation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I do have a certification from Animal Behavior and Training Associates of Los Angeles California, that's not what makes me good at my job. - I have a gift. I love dogs and our relationships with dogs. And I understand them on a deeper level. As a natural born teacher and communicator, I have an ability to convey that information to humans in a way they will understand. The other thing that sets me apart, is over 30 years of experience in dog behavior. At this point in my career, there's nothing I haven't dealt with many times. And sometimes because of the often vast differences in my clients, I have to be creative when it comes to effecting a solution that will really work for them.
