Margaret Germain, Piano Teacher

Introduction: Margaret Germain is a professional musician and music teacher who lives and teaches piano, harp, guitar, voice, and drums in her home studio in North Port, Fl. She is the director of music, organist, pianist, and harpist at St. Michael's church in Sarasota. Margaret has taught piano lessons for over 30 years and also taught music in the Sarasota school public schools for 9 years. She has a bachelor of music education degree from Northwestern University and has done additional studies on how children learn through the University of South Florida. Margaret teaches all levels, from beginner through college preparatory studies. Children can start lessons as early as 5 years old with Margaret's special young beginners program. Margaret also teaches guitar, voice, drums, and harp. One student may choose to study 2 instruments within one lesson, or a family of 3 students may share a one-hour lesson, making music lessons for the family affordable and convenient. Margaret teaches in her home studio (which has a piano, organ, keyboards, 3 harps, guitars, and a drum set), which is near La Marque Elementary School in North Port.
