Our first time using Thumbtack was a wonderful experience. We requested quotes from several companies. Mahir's quote was very reasonable, and he even offered to do the work on Labor Day, a holiday, even though we indicated that the project was not urgent. It was obvious that Mahir was experienced with replacing garbagedisposals - he had all the right tools, and his work was quick and thorough. We have a double sink, and our garbagedisposal is not connected to our dishwasher, but Mahir was no stranger to that type of hookup. He was pleasant and professional. We highly recommend Mahir!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen and fully understand what they are looking for and provide the best option for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been doing all sorts of handywork for the past 20yrs. Ceiling fans, garbage disposals, toilet repair, and faucet installations are a specialty of mine.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father has a number of rental properties. As a child, I was always tinkering with things. So of course when something needed to be fixed, I would volunteer to try and tackle the project. That ongoing training and first hand experience is what makes me efficient and how I know what I know today.
