- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Thumbtack customers receive an exclusive discounted diagnostic rate of $85—reduced from our regular $120 diagnostic fee. Our service call fee is $20. After thoroughly diagnosing your appliance, our technician will provide a written estimate covering the parts and labor needed to complete the repair. If you approve the repair during the same service call, the $85 diagnostic fee is waived. We never begin repair work without your authorization, and there are no hidden repair charges.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is designed to make appliance repair simple and stress-free. We begin by gathering information about your appliance and the problem you are experiencing, then schedule a convenient appointment. You will receive appointment confirmations and updates regarding your technician’s arrival. Once onsite, our technician carefully diagnoses the problem and explains the recommended solution. You will receive a written estimate before any repair begins, and we only perform work you authorize. Our service vehicles carry many commonly needed parts, allowing us to complete many repairs during the first visit. When a special-order part is required, we obtain it and schedule the return visit as quickly as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Hartman’s Appliance Repair is a licensed and insured, family-owned company with more than 30 years of appliance repair experience. Our professional technicians are trained to diagnose and repair refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops and other major household appliances. Our team works with most major brands and has experience servicing electric, natural gas and propane appliances. We use professional diagnostic equipment and proven testing methods to identify the actual cause of the problem—not simply replace parts and hope for the best.
