Had an initial great experience with tech Ryan who came out and surveyed the dilemma my wife and I were in with an installation nightmare from an unlicensed handyman.Ryan explained the situation and showed me clearly that the electrical plug was shot and needed to be replaced, along with a new light fixture/fan. Very pleased with his expertise and demeanor.R. Darnell

I wanted to handle this privately before I posted it online to give you a chance to respond and clarify any misconceptions I might have, but your receptionist said this was the best way to get a message through. I disagree, but will do it your way.Ben work was fine, however I was quoted a price for 3 installs at $508. Through no fault of his own, he was unable to complete one because the box was wrong. So this brings us down to 2. I asked if this would lower the price, and he replied, "a little." He did not quote numbers. I didn't ask. I trusted him to do the right thing. One of the 2 fixtures was a small chandelier. Too small actually, but I'll learn to live with it. Apparently I wrongly assumed that part of the install would have included attachment placement (since he's up there on that ladder anyway), in this case, beads. He did not lace the beads like jewelry. He did'nt create them. They were already strung and attached at the top end and just needed to be hook at the base. Ballpark...maybe 30 of them. He never addressed me personally to state this was an issue. That it was a medial task. Under his breath he murrmered, "I'm charging full price for having to do this," meaning, attaching the individual string of beads to the base. He was talking to himself, but I caught it. The irritation was very apparent. There was no discussion. He did not directly address me, which I think would really have been appropriate. So, when one has a chandelier installed, is it customary NOT to expect the attachments to be placed as part of the finished job? This is a serious question because honestly, I dont know and if I'm wrong I've no problem being corrected.I just returned from a strenuous 3 week trip. I'm old and was exhausted so I didn't dispute the price. I already knew I was overpaying for 3 installs, much more so for only 2.The upselling before even looking at the real job set a bad tone. Having a person come to install fixtures but first going to your power box to tell you all the problems that need upgraded is bad form. I asked him here for fans and lights. I was in sales and know that drill. I know you are requiring him to do this so I'm not blaming him, but that kind of initial upselling was a complete turnoff and waste of my time. It irritated my husband so much he was even a bit rude and he rarely lets anything get to him.Ben did go above and beyond by putting a couple of fan pulleys up in my bedroom that I couldn't reach. That was very much appreciated.I personally feel I should have only been charged for 2 installs. I was too tired to defend my position and will take responsibility for letting it slide. I had no idea how expensive putting strings on a hook would be nor the distress that would result, but to his credit, it only took him 5 minutes to master the task. His work was great, but I doubt we will require your services again. Good luck!
