Hired on Thumbtack

I booked Allure for an initial visit to my home to discuss design and estimate for a kitchen remodel. The appointment was confirmed by Allure via email to me. No one showed up at the appointed time and there was no phone listed in thumbtack or their emails for me to call. When I googled the Company name, it turns out they are out of state although no mention of this is made by Thumbtack or their ad. A man's voice was on the voicemail with no mention of Allure. They have very good reviews but the no show and out of state location makes everything very sketchy to me. I have used Angie's list and Home Advisors but 1rst time with Thumbtack and this is a bad experience. Hope everyone else has better luck with TT but perhaps they need to vet their contractors if not reviewers.
