1) I have no trace of an American accent when I speak German. 2) Because I am American, I know exactly what the pitfalls are that English speakers experience when learning German. Sheree is a wonderful tutor! Her lessons are always fun and engaging. You can tell that she really wants you to be successful in the language learning process, as she is strategic in the pacing of her lessons and her teaching. She does a great job of holding me accountable to correct pronunciation, interjecting with purpose, while also allowing me space to learn and be successful on my own. I have very much enjoyed her support and expertise so far!

Sheree is a fantastic tutor! Having lived in German speaking countries, Sheree has a solid grasp on German culture. I highly recommend Sheree to anyone who wants to learn German at a higher level with a refreshing style of teaching. Per my son (a high school student), she makes sure that each lesson is a blend of culture, speaking, and grammar as to not be repetitive. She is very patient and funny and as such, her lessons are never boring. Sheree also makes sure to never force her students into memorization as she doesn’t believe in memorization. In addition, she is very flexible with scheduling and lesson plans.

I started learning German on my own, and quickly realized I would need help! I requested information from several different people, but Sheree caught my eye the most, and I'm certainly happy she did, because I feel like I have made so much progress in the 11 weeks we've been having our weekly session. She seems to tailor fit each lesson for me. She makes me work on my weaknesses (trust me, this may be uncomfortable at first, but she isn't judging, and wants you to do better) pushes me put of my comfort zone, and challenges me in a good way, and the moment we hit a spot that's not understood or confusing, we work on it, until it is clear, and we move on. Go at your pace, so to speak. Shes not just an educator, but also can tell you stories about her time in Deutschland, the culture, the idioms, and manners of German folks, so you're getting the full German experience during each lesson. I would love to continue with her until I am at full fluency, and I am excited for the journey along the way.

In addition, I travel to German & French speaking countries at least once a year. I also maintain contact with other French/German teachers, as well as native French/German language speakers.
