My name is Alyssa Farineau. I’m the owner of Cherished Moments Photography. I have photographed couple’s portraits, engagements, weddings, birthday parties, bridal showers, maternity’s, gender reveals, graduations, and many more.
Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I started my business a little over four years ago. I aim to capture both posed and candid moments to create a lifetime of special memories. I also provide props to allow for creative and fun pictures. I love meeting and working with new people and to help you capture your fun times together while providing you with high resolution images.
When working with me, I aim to ensure you feel comfortable and within ten minutes, you will be having fun during your session. All of my sessions include digital images, and most of my packages include some physical prints and additional photo products as well. If you are needing photography services and are on a strict budget, I will create a custom session or package for you. Please feel free to ask me any questions or address any concerns you may have. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you capture your most cherished moments.

I’ve waited far too long to write this review. Alyssa was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. We spent so much time talking and texting before meeting in person. It was important to her to get to know us and a feel for what we wanted out of our pictures and what we felt we needed to captured the day of the wedding!
Alyssa arrived early, and with tons of props for a lot of fun photos and memories! She went above and beyond to help us remember this perfect day! Her professionalism and talent is unparalleled in my opinion. She took the time to speak with each of our guests and any everyone in the wedding party (we had a small group of about 10 with us at our beach wedding) and everyone absolutely loved her! I am missing a tooth and she was so understanding about how important it was to not capture that side of my smile and assured me no one would ever know from the pictures, and she was right! She actually filled in the small gap in my smile making our pictures that much better and making me MUCH more comfortable! I also had a bridesmaid with pretty bad psoriasis and she completely cleared her skin in the pictures as well!
We had a blast hanging out with her. She is so real, and relatable. It was as if another good friend was with us, not just a photograph that we had never met. She has a true gift for capturing moments that we never wanted to forget. She took so many photos that I didn’t even know I wanted or needed. The photos of me and the girls getting ready are some of my favorites, but the picture she captured of my husband seeing me for the first time at the end of the aisle is my favorite. So much of her work hangs on our walls. I am so grateful to have found her with such short notice before our wedding, and I wouldn’t have traded her for the world that day!
Alyssa, if you see this, thank you so much for all your hard work and for caring so much about getting the perfect photos for us! We love you and hope to see you again on our next trip!

No complaints at all. We had a small.backyard wedding and ideas for spots were somewhat limited. Alyssa was able to get some really nice photos with the space she was given. She provided good ideas for the shots, prices were very reasonable and we were able to get our pics within a fair amount of time. She even helped me get into my dress! I would definitely hire her again. Thank you Alyssa for making our day special!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer packages with digital downloads, and with digital downloads and prints ranging in price from $125 for one hour to $2,200 for ten hours or longer. All of my wedding packages include physical prints and or photo products. The longer that you book me for, the more prints and photo products you receive with your wedding package.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I greet them, ask them questions regarding how long they are seeking coverage for and for what type of event or coverage they are looking for, and then I inform them of the different priced packages I offer that match the type of photography coverage they are seeking and the length of coverage they are looking for and let them know not to hesitate contacting me with any questions or concerns. Upon booking, I provide them with an invoice, contract, and print release form. I also stay in touch with them leading up to their time with me, and I follow up after with timeframes and when I upload their images to their gallery for downloads and prints.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for photography and I have on the job experience with weddings, engagements, family portraits, family reunions, birthday parties, surprise proposals, and elopements.
