I have lived and worked in Central Florida for almost 20 years. I am currently a photographer and real estate agent. I have helped dozens of clients throughout my community and around Florida achieve their photography/ real estate goals. My technical background is in Science. I have a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida, and I have one semester of Grad school in Sociology from UCF. In the time I have lived in Central Florida I have entrenched myself in the arts and community organizing groups and have helped many organizations and businesses with their photography services, sometimes for pro bono. When I’m not working, you can find me: with my family, doing Jiu Jitsu at Gracie Barra, at the gym, playing golf, or enjoying some of Florida’s beautiful beach destinations.

Wilson did a fantastic job on our family vacation portraits. He worked with us in finding the perfect location and was extremely professional. We needed a last minute photographer as we decided to elope! I picked a date that I was set on due to its numerical significance in our life, but it was only 2 weeks away!!! Wilson Ortiz & Thumbtack made the search sooo much easier, allowing me to focus on finding a dress. Wilson was prompt, professional, responded quickly, and was very easy to work with. I had a ton of questions and ideas. He offered opinions and ideas in return. Together we developed a plan/timeline of my special day… and he delivered!! I chose him based on his photography style (mainly lighting and coloration) I found on his website via a Google search. I love bright, well-lit, true-to-color photos without any hues. I didn’t do much research regarding poses or anything before our big day… as I had a lot of other things to focus on. Wilson helped instruct us throughout the entire photoshoot, using almost every inch of the venue we chose. He gave us a full album of edited photos to download, and even took the time to re-edit some photos at my request. I will definitely consider him for any future photo shoots that we desire!

My pricing is based on skill level, travel time, the gear I use, experience, and what is asked of my professional service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take my time to have a consultation with a new client over the phone, zoom, or in person. I try to understand what it is that they require of me and if I feel comfortable and confident I can do what they ask of me I will let them know and produce a quote that is fair and in line with everything we discussed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken photography classes, I have also been photographing for over 8 years. My formal education was at UCF and I have a bachelor’s of science degree in Anthropology.
