Introduction: Unlike stereotypical engineers, I am an accomplished reader/writer both fiction and nonfiction, particularly technical writing. I attribute my writing expertise to the fact that I grew up without television during the critical formative years of Kindergarten - 3rd grade and 6th - 9th grade. Why no television? My father was career military so we lived in Japan for four years and Germany for four years. Instead of spending those years transfixed by a television I was an avid reader; never without a book and in any and all realms - fiction and nonfiction, history, science, novels, etc. You name it, I loved it. I read Gone With the Wind, cover to cover in 9th grade and loved it. I read all the Hardy Boys books, Tom Swift, Nancy Drew, and on and on. When it comes to writing I am keenly focused on spelling and grammar. I am a Right Brain, Left Brain evenly balanced person. I love Art and Science. Writing is a passion, the flow of the words fascinates me but I am also an amateur photographer Creativity
