Introduction: I specialize in mentoring and coaching students as they prepare their college-admission essays. I've also worked with student applying to graduate school, law school and medical school on their personal statements. I use the principles I've followed throughout my career as a journalist: to help get the best out of my clients for the best essays . . . which best represent them in their application process. Other "college counselors" offer help with essays as part of their services, but they're not professional writers or editors. I can teach students what they don't learn from their English teachers: how to write about themselves with feeling, description, emotion and passion.
