FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't think any one project is similar enough to have a standard pricing system for my services. For example, installing a custom built table in a single family home in Deerfield Beach would be different from installing it in a high rise penthouse in Miami, where access and parking are limited. Also, each project is unique in terms of materials used, and time required to work each product. Painting is one great example. Economy paint is a great price, but the coverage isn't great. This requires additional labor. Great paint has excellent coverage, but comes at a premium price. Also, there are many factors to consider such as, if the home is occupied, will dust barricades need to be erected? will the floor need to be protected? Are doors and trim getting painted? Are there significant wall repairs that need to be performed first? I like to think of each project as unique, and I price accordingly after visual inspection and scope of work are determined.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I respond to a client via email or by phone for a preliminary dialogue to see if our services match their needs. Secondly, we schedule a meeting to determine project scope, take measurements, photos and discuss design concepts. Next is the proposal write up based on our initial appointment. Finally, if an accord is reached, we will schedule the project commencement date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years experience in the residential construction and remodeling field. As a youth I would help my family in repairing and maintaining single and multifamily rentals. When I turned 18, I started working as a helper on remodeling crews. From there I spent years in different trades learning a lot from each. I have worked with framers, electricians, drywall installers, landscapers, masons, painters, etc. Since then, around 7 years ago I moved to Florida and began working for several local companies supervising and installing projects for all types of clients. I have done retail installations for local area malls, rehabs for investors, maintenance for apartments, renovations for new home buyers, and new construction in high end homes.
