My education and background is that of a Civil Engineer with a professional engineer's license (P.E.) here in Florida. While in the Navy, a teaching assignment for which I received special recognition "lit the fire" and my desire to teach. After I retired from the Naval career I began teaching OnLine for a major University and have also tutored individual students. What differentiates me besides my patience and ability to explain algebra concepts in understandable terms is that teaching is a labor of love, not a job.
