Atlantic Home Improvement is a local, family owned and operated business. We have over 13 years in the construction industry specializing in flooring, remodeling, carpentry and general repairs. We pride ourselves in doing it right the first time. Our mission is to provide an honest, fair service at an affordable price to our customers. What do I love about my work? There are a thousand answers to this question, and new ones are added everyday. Of course being in a different place everyday, meeting new people and fixing problems are always fun and rewarding perks of the job. For myself, I enjoy the constant growth of skills and knowledge, the long days and the short ones, the simple fixes and the most challenging projects. However, the part I enjoy the most about the work I do is the end result, that's what it's all about!

Starting with "word of mouth" references from neighbors and friends. About 5 of them in total, only one handyman showed up to give us a quote. But low and behold he never called us back after leaving the house. So I came to Thumbtack, it worked for us once before to have a lawn put in so why not give it a shot. After filling out the "what i need" part of the process i received two responses, one with a bad review and the other I called......sounded good on the phone and set an appointment for the next day. And the next day came, appointment time was hit and NO SHOW. I texted the handy person NO RESPONSE as you might think I'm done !!! Got back on the Thumbtack went thru the motions received two more contacts. One was the one with a bad review so I went with the only one left. Boy I am glad I did call the number set up an appointment for a quote and they were super nice gentlemen !! Gave me a quote on the spot and two days later showed up early and started working they did a fantastic job it took them most of the day. Their quote was fair and paid it with a smile on my face. At the end of the project we sat and talked and had beers !! (it was after 5pm...hehehe) could not ask for better people or for better work that was done. We are going to have them back for a Bathroom/Shower remodel. If you see their number coming from Thumbtack HIRE THEM !! "thats all i have to say about that" Forest Gump

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For small tasks and "handyman" type projects we charge an hourly service rate. Most of our jobs require several days to complete and we provide an up-front estimate that we guarantee does not change.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to start with a site visit to get to know our customer and have a better understanding of their project and what they wish to accomplish. Then, if we are the right fit for the customer, we can proceed with a business relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20k+ hours of on the job experience directly related to the services in which I provide. I am also a licensed contractor in the State of Arkansas.
