FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the American Bartending School and follow numerous on line sources to keep my knowledge current.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Try as best as you can to personally interview your prospective bartender and make sure he is not only qualified as a bartender but will also be a good fit for the the group you are entertaining. Make your wishes are clear beforehand-do you want the bartender to be reserved and just prepare drinks or do you want someone to be more engaging with your guests. It's very important that you know how many bartenders you require. We often see events that are understaffed and nothing is more of a buzz kill than having people waiting too long to be served. A good rule of thumb is typically one bartender for 80 guests. I strongly suggest that you hire a bartender who has Serve Safe Certification which is the industry standard for insuring your bartender is cognizant of the safety of your guests as they enjoy themselves. Most clubs and restaurants insist upon Serve Safe Certification prior to hiring a bartender for the safety of clients and insurance considerations.
