Our reputation is stellar at training and helping actors get into the business without any BS, our fees are low and we are honest with our talent. We are well respected by Agents, Casting Directors and Film Makers who recognize our name on someone's resume and know that they are well trained. We are located in Pinellas County FL, adjacent to Clearwater and Tampa. Teaching in the area since 1985, I am a professional actress who trained in LA with the late Lee Strasberg over 7 years. I continue to work in the field as an actor and director as well as a coach. I know the business and give you the best guidance for your advancement whether it be as a career or for personal development. I have worked with Doctors, Lawyers, and other professionals who need to be in the pubic's eye. I work on self confidence, presentation and public speaking skills as well as acting. Out of area clients should be willing to work via Skype (available soon) or we will not reply to your request. I love it when I see the lights go on in an actor's eyes, when he/she "gets it." It clicks. All of a sudden you see the fruit of your labor and it is just thrilling. My charges are happy with the training they receive.

Having Corinne as my acting coach was a jump start to help build my self esteem and confidence. I wasn't sure about the class in beginning because the first class she had us do all these exercises. Throwing balls across the room (to loosen up), make funny noises with our mouth, jumping up and down, then she gave us story lines for potential skits and with an improv partner or sometimes not, we had to do our thing and that was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. I also learned Method Acting. Method Acting is described as a form of acting where the actor mystically becomes the character. I struggled with this method in the beginning because I forgot how to use my imagination. After great practice I was taught how to dream and reconnect with my inner child again. I was able to experience being featured in a music video with Claudette King(BB King's daughter), that was referred by The Venue Theater. What a life changing event for me!!!! All in all I learned to expose myself, make mistakes, tumble over, fall flat on my face and then learn how to pick myself up. And that alone was the most valuable lesson for me. Thanks Corinne!

I have had the pleasure of studying at Venue for multiple years. I have studied under the guidance of a few coaches, including Corinne. I started with teen classes and moved to Corinne's adult classes. Corinne has become a mentor to me and I have no idea where I would have been without her. She is an absolutely amazing coach and has taught me everything I know. I was also given the chance to intern during the summer camps and was chosen to stage manage three or more shows. There is so many opportunities and things to be taught at Venue. Your craft will grow and Corinne will guide you to becoming excellent. Words cannot explain the time I spent studying at Venue!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private coaching is 1..5 hrs $40 per session. Adults start at $320 for 8weeks, 3 hr class with 14-16 students. Remember, workshops are cumulative and the cost is only a billing period. Everyone progresses at their own rate. There is no beginning, intermediate or advanced, no graduation. When you are working, you sill come back to sharpen your skills.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start slowly, helping you learn how to relax and focus, and learning how to access your emotions in a comfortable setting. Proceed at your own speed. Know that we are here to assist you in achieving your goals. Intro to Acting is a structured group where you grow and learn what it is like to be an actor. We have members who keep coming back to learn more and more about themselves and their abilities. That is normal in our business, because we keep growing as individuals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly go to seminars and workshops to keep sharp. You can only extend yourself so much before you need to re charge the artistic batteries. When I go to NYC I see plays, attend workshops and sit in at the Actors Studio and become a sponge.
