- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide a simple price per square foot to design your home which includes all of the plans necessary to submit for your building permits. Our plans are reviewed, signed & sealed by our state licensed structural engineer. The only other documents you generally will need is to obtain a survey (auto cad file), energy calculations, & truss engineering. During the design phase when we have locked your floorpan/design. We send your plans electronically to a Truss manufacturer. They provide a quote for your roof and/or floor trusses and generally release engineering after you send them a 10% deposit. We can also coordinate the survey & refer you to a professional who prepares energy calculations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We listen to all of your ideas and the space you would like us to design. We then verify your set back requirements and come up with an initial site plan & a floor plan. After that we design your front, rear, left, & right elevations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. 24 years experience designing and building homes from Los Angeles to all over Florida.
