It was a great pleasure working with Kate. I had just purchased a home in Tampa and wanted ideas on paint choices, design, lighting, etc. Kate was fantastic as she listens well and was able to translate what I was seeking into design ideas. She does not impose her taste on you, but insures that the Client is creating the home environment he/she desires. The entire experience was pleasurable and I would not hesitate to call on her for future projects. She is a true professional and values your time and is extremely organized. When she says she will follow up or get back with you you can trust that she will. Working with her was a blessing!Sep 28, 2019
Kate is a serious professional who enjoys a collaborative experience. She is a good listener and adds and eliminates design ideas as needed. She is punctual; responds within 24 hours and if you have a follow up question, an answer is not far behind. My project for Kate was to furnish a villa so that I could move in by a certain date. Kate guided me and kept me focused. She created mood boards that visualized her ideas for me and some floor plans. When I was doubtful, she used her professional experience to gently help me move beyond my comfort level and was usually correct. Her collaboration, creativity and levelheadedness help me meet my goal. Kate is warm and personable which helped to make the project less stressful for me being under a time constraint. I highly , highly recommend Kate.Sep 25, 2019Verified
Despite a short time line Kate was able to complete my project on time and within budget. She was a great listener and solved some tricky design challenges very nicely indeed.Sep 5, 2019Verified
Kate squeezed me into her schedule despite my short time line. Brained stormed through a couple of very challenging design dilemmas in a friendly and respectful manner. Then helped me acquire the services of a handyman to complete the project. If Kate had been able to bring the handyman with her I would have rated the experience as perfect.Sep 1, 2019Verified
Excellent Professional Advice. We would never have been able to achieve what we were looking for without her help!Aug 27, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The initial client consultation costs $90 and is between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the project. During that time we will get clear on the scope of the project, style preferences, and I will get measurements of the area(s).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The initial consultation is a great chance for both of us to see if we are a good match and for me to get clear on what will be most useful to you. From there, I will create designs or color palettes (depending on the project) and a budget. Costs can be done by project or by the hour, depending on what the project looks like.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have completed Hillsborough Community College's interior design course and am largely self-taught. I have a background in event planning for a large meditation and personal development company, and was also a project manager for an advertising agency for many years prior to beginning my career in interior design.
