Swimming Pool Cleaning, Maintenance, and Inspection
I am giving only giving them 2 stars because they did a great job draining, pressure washing and acid washing my pool for a complete clean out. However, their lack of knowledge on my diatomaceous filter was completely unacceptable as I would give them 0 stars on that if I could. The owner claimed verbatim “I sorry you aren’t swimming yet. The bad water is the issue we vacuumed the water both times we were there”. Funny thing is the owner was not even there as he stated he was, as the tech only came to service the pool. The owner and the tech were both asked about our diatomaceous filter and had no answer as to how to maintain it. The tech’s exact worlds were “Oh, we don’t do that”. Then lied to the owner about what was done as my fiancé watched him both times he came out. When you are not able to do a job properly then you refer a client to someone who knows what they’re doing or clearly state that you are not able to maintain it correctly. Also, to top it all of he blamed me of filling the pool with well water and that’s why it had discoloration. He claimed I should have used all of my water softener to fill it up? To use all of my salt up and have sulfur smell in my shower, washer machine and dishwasher? Completely unrealistic. I know people with only well water with absolutely no water softener system that have had no issues like this. He claimed high iron, yet ironically when the water company came out to test our water this month it had very low iron. He clearly cut corners to save money because my pool could have been perfectly blue within a few days had it been the right amount of tablets put in the chlorinator, the correct amount of chlorine put in the pool and vacuuming up the sediment on the floor. Long story short, my father had to come out yesterday to put chlorine tablets in the chlorinator, chlorine in the pool as well diatomaceous earth to run through our filter. Now it’s crystal clear! They did not vacuum properly, if at all, and did not use chlorine tablets in the chlorinator. Very unknowledgeable, yet the owner thinks he knows everything. This company clearly did not finish the job completely and I will never be using them again for any services in the future.
Sep 4, 2019VerifiedClarify Pool Services's replyWith Lindsey’s project the challenge wasn’t the fact that she had a pond that had been left for over two years without any attention. We tackled that part, drained the pool washed it with acid & it turned out beautiful. The real challenge began when she was tried to save $ 15-20 & filled her newly cleaned pool with dark orange iron water straight from her well instead of running it through her water filtration system. As a result the pond went from green to beautiful to burnt orange. We tried to explain that we can’t just immediately fix a situation like this w/ a magic wand. We were honest with her about this. We tried to be sympathetic & said we are so sorry you aren’t swimming yet, but it will take some time to get rid of the orange. She didn’t want to hear this. Our company has 2 owners & Lindsey didn’t realize that there are 2 of us that run our company When I said the owner came out & vacuumed it was the other owner than myself. I wanted her to have the best chance of transformation like we started to do. She thought because I wasn’t there, who she thought was the owner that we weren’t telling the truth. In the end we tried to make it right & work with her but she lost patience with the orange pool after one week. In many other instances she was trying to cut corners to save $ instead of doing things right. Sometimes doing things right takes time, patience & persistence to overcome unforeseen challenges.
