About
Laska Parrow CVT, CPDT-KA, ANWI. Owner and Head Trainer. Over 25 years of training experience. Hello! My name is Laska Parrow. I have been training animals with positive reinforcement since a young age. Inspired as a child, I trained my cat how to walk on a leash and basic obedience skills. Finally my father agreed that I could foster and train dogs. I have been involved with training assistance dogs since 2000 and got involved in pet dog training in 2003. Helping others with their pets led me to spend 7 years working at my local humane society. During that time there I taught reactive and fearful dog classes, as well as in-home training for cats and other small animals. I am also a nationally recognized trainer, and the first trainer in America to successfully train a dog to sniff out Covid-19 on someone, before they had a test. I have been featured in People Magazine, Rachael Ray’s in Season, Tampa Bay Times, The Herald Tribune, Fox News Affiliates all across the country, The Wall Street Journal, US News and Health, as well as featured articles, and interviews in Japan, as well as China. Certification and Pets: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), and an Associate Nose Work Instructor (ANWI). I enjoy working with dogs, cats and have a passion for K9 Nose Work. I am sharing my sometimes crazy life with my husband, as well as our three large dogs. I have a passion for showing my dogs in obedience competitions, agility, nose work, and animal assisted therapy work. My Training Method: My training method is, positive reinforcement. I do not use an e-collar. Positive reinforcement is a form of training in which good behaviors are rewarded and the wrong behaviors are either prevented or ignored. For instance, a dog learns that sitting gets him or her a treat; not sitting gets him or her nothing. Since animals do what works, they learn – through many repetitions – to repeat behaviors that benefit them. Services offered: Reactivity, obedience, scent work, socializing, day training, puppy training, service dog training, therapy dog training, cat training, as well as behavior modification. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking, and working with you soon.

This is a dynamic couple who value our relationships with our furry friends. James is front line and direct- plus he has a great sense of humor. Great reminders and follow through. Ms Parrow? Wow she is just an animal whisperer. I chose them because of the accountability on me as an owner. Dropping them off with someone else sounds great but I still need to know how to communicate. They gave me great education, videos, reading materials to understand how to communicate with my crazy small reactive dachshund. We have “the perfect older brother dog” and she included him in our training as this is a family dynamic. She saw the arguments and I watched her address them. Seriously this is very customized hands on family training. Love them!

Couldnt recommend All Ears more! From start to finish Laska and James were so great to work with and its clear they truly care about working toward your individual goals for you and your dog. My dog in particular really struggled with anxiety, especially outside of my home. By our last session, she was walking around Lowes confidently and with a number of distractions that previously would have caused her to freeze up or flee. Laska provided great guidance during our sessions but also useful tools for the time in between and to use now that our sessions are done. Our training was also very focused on positive reinforcement and creating a safe and fun environment to build confidence in my dog. Laska also provided some solutions for a good balance for other struggles like fear during fireworks or thunderstorms, which is obviously a huge concern during the rainy season, or just being a little too excited when guests come over and ring the doorbell. If you are looking for a training program where the results speak for themselves, this is the best place for it!

Laska is an absolutely incredible dog trainer. She worked with our five-pound teacup schnauzer and treated him with such dedication, patience, and genuine love. Her training style is both professional and compassionate, making everything feel natural and fun for both pets and owners. Our little schnauzer thrived under her care, and we couldnt be more grateful. If youre looking for someone who truly understands dogs and puts her heart into what she does, Laska is the one. Highly recommend!

I found Laska a day or two after adopting my shepherd mix, 2-month-old puppy -- Stella -- from a rescue. Just from the initial phone call, I knew I liked her and it would be the best fit. Not only did she have great experience as a trainer -- including at Dogs Inc. (formerly southwest guide dogs) -- she believed and pracriced positive training, which is what I wanted. Also, she had two German Sheherds and a lab and my new dog was a mix of those two breeds (plus several others mixed in), and I was looking for guidance on caring for a shepherd lab mix. Laska promply became Stella's favorite person in the world, and she remains her favorite person in the world six years later. Laska is very good at her job as a trainer, but she is a huge dog lover and great dog communicator. in addition, she has several great qualities that make her a great trainer, and also a friend. She is patient and kind and is very openminded about training -- she is never a know-it-all, nor is she judgemental or demanding.-Kara Chalmers

After moving to Bradenton from Tennessee, our family needed a patient & caring dog trainer for our two female Chihuahuas. ( 2-3 years old.) We were referred from a former family who was pleased with their training. Our pups cant wait to see Laska on their training days. They have come a long way in trust, anxiety, and confidence. She has also given us the skills to continue to work on their behavior goals. I highly recommend this specialized company. It has been a blessing to our family to watch Ninnie & Bellablu grow in obedience.
