FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, constantly! The software is always changing, so it's necessary to stay up to date with those programs. In addition, I am always reviewing design trends and ideas to ensure my work doesn't look "dated." I don't try to be wildly cutting-edge in my design--I find that doesn't sell, especially in smaller or more conservative markets (it's kind of akin to modern art)--but I am definitely fresh and contemporary.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've designed everything from ad layouts and magazine stories to business cards. I've written copy for advertisements and magazine stories and proofread everything from books to press releases.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you're looking for a designer, always review the portfolio ahead of time. Find examples of business cards or brochures that you like, and bring them with you to the initial meeting. Be ready to explain WHY you like the work you've chosen, but keep an open mind about what the professional suggests.
