- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly Rate: $95/ hour This model is best for smaller design projects or room by room decorating. The client will be charged for the time that Kristin spends on the project including travel time, design planning, selections, purchasing and installation. Project Rate: 10% of the total project cost This model is best for large kitchen and bathroom remodel and renovation projects. Kristin will provide design and project management services. She will also work to negotiate all building costs which will save the client money on the project. e-Design Package: $499 / room The client fills out an e-design request form, emails Kristin photos of the room, a rough floorplan sketch with dimensions and some inspirational photos or a link to a pinterest board. Kristin will then work with the client remotely to create a digital design package including a design board, shopping list and installation instructions. This is a great options for clients who want a quick, inexpensive option and are willing to do the installation themselves.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Kristin will personally meet with all new and perspective clients at their home to understand their interior design goals and make some initial design suggestions. Kristin will then come up with a pricing and a way of working model to meet the client's goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and degree in residential planning from the Art Institute and am a member of ASID.
