Introduction: Hi there! My name is Andrew Kamen. I'm a mobile DJ & MC, currently residing in Pittsburgh, PA. I've been DJing weddings, parties, clubs, and corporate events for the past six years, working with a variety of clients, including The Dali Museum, Shephards Beach Resort, Papa John's, CVR Associates, and The Floridan Hotel to name a few. I would be more than happy to provide references upon request. My objective as a DJ/MC is to establish a creative and passionate interaction with my customers. I work with a highly optimistic, collaborative approach towards helping each individual reach the desired mood and aesthetic for his or her event. My list of equipment includes the following: * Denon MC4000 Mixer/Controller * Djay Pro "Request-Based" Music Software * JBL Speakers * Additional PA System (For Ceremony) * Wireless Microphone System * Rotoball/Light Grid Setup. In my mixes, I like to spin various styles of pop, hip-hop, electronic, house, jazz, and alternative, added with flavors of Top 40 to make it accessible to crowds of all ages. I also love to play salsa, merengue, bachata, swing, R&B, and various hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. I'm able to work weekdays and/or weekends. Andrew was the DJ for our wedding, and he was just great. We did some arranging of the ceremony music and were able to communicate with him and work very seamlessly and effortlessly to achieve our perfect Wedding. The music he played for the reception was phenomenal. We had a few odd requests and he was able to accommodate with ease, he took into consideration what we wanted and what we didn't, and I remember a specific moment when he played a song that actually meant a lot to Ben (my husband) and myself, and it made me smile to hear that music and to look at my love. We had A Belly dancer perform, and he was able to work seamlessly with her as well, which was very important to our wedding and myself. Everyone had a wonderful time, enjoyed the songs and danced like crazy. Andrew's work really helped make our wedding Absolutely Wonderful. Lyssa

Andrew was the dj for my wedding at Sunken Gardens! He made sure we had an amazing time. He dealt with all our nit picky details with a sweet smile. The pricing will depend on the scale of the event and the duties requested by the client. I'm open to discussing and working with budgets of all ranges.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication! Whether it be over phone, email, Skype, or in person, I want to work with my clients to fully cover all of our bases for the event and make sure we've discussed our timeline in full. I like my customers to have a very clear cut picture of how their day will go, what music to expect, and any other request they'd like to be fulfilled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in live theatre which has aided my ability to interact with crowds. I began DJing almost eight years ago, playing for crowds of all ages and sizes.
