you know, when a repair person extraordinaire contacts me about an appointment time and I respond, it is customary in American civilized society to confirm. If I do not get a confirmation or an alternative thereof, I tend to err on the side of caution and make sure I am where I said I'd be at the appointed time, in case a msg was missed, etc. my time is worth something whether it's waiting on a response for 24 hours and not getting it, taking time off work to wait for repair personnel or whatever. Are you with me? Obviously, I have no idea what befell all of the employees of the company that they could not respond to msgs or physically show up. A. Was it a traffic accident? B. Did their phones get stolen? C. Were they struck with Covid-19? D. Are they in the ER? E. Did they have to catch a plane en masse to a place involving a different time zone and they were too sleepy to call when they landed? Or F. are they disrespectful of my time and can't be bothered to at least send a msg or make a call and say... gee, I don't know... How's about (and this is just off the top of my head) 'Hi! I am running a bit late getting back with you.. we all stayed up late to watch America's Got Talent. What time and date would you, the customer, prefer so that we can give you a *free estimate to perform the tasks you mentioned earlier in a nothing-but-professional manner?' I suspect its' F. *free: woohoo This is all a blessing, of course. If you can't value my time, then I do not trust you to do a job that is more difficult than using a phone for calling or texting which requires sequencing, fine motor skills, miniscule range of motion of either the left wrist or the right and basic knowledge of numbers 0 through 9.

Martin does fantastic work! He helped me hang 3 large shelves on a very tricky plaster covered brick wall in my kitchen. He was thorough and skilled in his work, made sure I was happy with the product as we went, brought all the tools and supplies needed and was correct with his time estimate and pricing. Martin is a great handyman and I would recommend to anyone!
