FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Jobs in the home services industry have a wide variance of costs and scope of work. For instance, for your backyard shed - do you want a foundation installed? If so, concrete or crushed rock? Do you want electric service to the shed? Utility sink? As a result of this, Skyline makes a point to provide formal, written estimates for all work performed which detail the scope of work performed. If you are comparing pricing between companies the question should be asked; is one company more expensive than the other or are two different levels of work and/or service being offered? The only way for a client to answer this question is to have a detailed, written estimate to compare against.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Out of respect for customers' valuable time, Skyline also requests pictures of the area and scope of work to be performed. This saves time by identifying if the work is something for which customers could benefit from working with Skyline. Then, Skyline typically provides a 'quote bracket' over the phone that seeks to answer the question "does this sound like the range of cost and work you are looking for?" Finally, a site visit is typically required for Skyline to provide an accurate and formal written estimate. This process ensures the highest level of communication and customer satisfaction.
