Introduction: Hello! I am the owner of Skyline Home Services, LLC. In addition to my contracting experience, I am a former active duty U.S. Marine with a degree in business management. We focus on turnkey residential solutions from simple one-day projects up to full home renovations. We have experience with primary homes as well as rental properties and price our estimates according to your goals. Most of the work we perform does not require licensure or for you to obtain a permit for your project. When they are required, we have a partnership with New City Construction Corporation, which has over 20 years of experience in Tampa and is a Florida state licensed residential and roofing contracting company. Alan was easy to work with and very professional. I'd would highly consider using his services in the near future. I'm very happy with my tile repair.

Skyline Homes Services, LLC's reply
I called Ryan and spoke with him within 5 minutes after he posted this review. The fault was completely on me; I told him via text that I would be out for an estimate on Wednesday, December 11 but when I entered the estimate on my calendar I entered it for Thursday, December 12. While working this morning I also missed a text message from Ryan asking where I was. Ryan missed work to wait for me and had to leave town for work later in the day so we could not do the estimate later that evening; I apologized for the time he spent waiting for me and offered to come out to look at his project with him immediately upon his return or as soon as he would like thereafter. I will also be providing Ryan with a 10% discount on his project should he decide to provide me with a second opportunity to work with him. No one likes or deserves to have their time wasted, so I completely understand Ryan's disappointment. Based on the other reviews on my profile (which at the time of this response are all five stars) this is certainly not the experience a potential or current client can expect when working with me. I will ensure this type of miscommunication on my part does not happen in the future.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Jobs in the home services industry have a wide variance of costs and scope of work. For instance, for your backyard shed - do you want a foundation installed? If so, concrete or crushed rock? Do you want electric service to the shed? Utility sink? As a result of this, Skyline makes a point to provide formal, written estimates for all work performed which detail the scope of work performed. If you are comparing pricing between companies the question should be asked; is one company more expensive than the other or are two different levels of work and/or service being offered? The only way for a client to answer this question is to have a detailed, written estimate to compare against.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Out of respect for customers' valuable time, Skyline also requests pictures of the area and scope of work to be performed. This saves time by identifying if the work is something for which customers could benefit from working with Skyline. Then, Skyline typically provides a 'quote bracket' over the phone that seeks to answer the question "does this sound like the range of cost and work you are looking for?" Finally, a site visit is typically required for Skyline to provide an accurate and formal written estimate. This process ensures the highest level of communication and customer satisfaction.
