- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Prior to opening KPC Coaching, LLC, I spent twenty years working for the Veterans Administration. During my tender I was a Substance Abuse Counselor, Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, Employment Specialist, Job Developer and Program Director for an Employment Program. I have a wealth of experience leading change, developing people and building coalitions. I was instrumental in developing a program called Serving with Respect which improved customer service by 50%. In 2006 I was one of the first to receive the National certification as a Mentor/Coach. For several years I was the senior facilitator for a program called Civility, Respect and Engagement in the Workforce (CREW).CREW worked with staff to help improve their communication skills, resulting in a healthy workplace environment. As an Employment Specialist I received a National Certificate in Employment Services from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE). My passion is helping people and for the last few years I have been licensed to instruct a program called PAIRS, Practical Applications of Intimate Relationship Skills. PAIRS empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to strengthen emotional literacy, empathy, and bonding.

Help people enhance their communication, improve their problem solving techniques,help them learn how to reduce conflict and stress, increase happiness and strengthen their commitments.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
What types of people have Life Coaches? People from all walks of life work with professional Coaches to help attain their goals. Life Coaches work with people in all areas of their life including relationships, career, finance, health and more. Working with a personal Coach is not limited to any type of person, but is best for those who want to take initiative in their own life. People who get a Life Coach are committed to a more fulfilled life and are willing to do the work needed to get there.
