FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The best way to learn about the needs of a new customer is through an in-person meeting (if local) or by phone or SKYPE. My goal is to make you look good. Tell me what you want to achieve, I will ask clarifying questions, and the rest will flow.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Some people know they want to be a pilot, firefighter or teacher from their earliest years. My vision wasn't that specific, but I learned early that I have a love and talent for writing and appreciate being able to use this skill to help others. I still do that old-fashioned thing called "writing letters" by hand.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with state, local and federal government, corporations; and non-governmental organizations. Materials developed include media kits, blog content, grant proposals, reports and scope of work. I enjoy creating process documentation, policies and procedures, newspaper columns, marketing materials, etc. I practice my skill daily and read extensively to satisfy an insatiable desire to read a cross-section of fiction and non-fiction materials. Note: I will not write a term paper or other school assignment for a client. Colleges and universities have strict rules against plagiarism and I support such rules. The only way to learn the material is to study and do the homework and written assignments.
