FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees are based on the time and expertise required for your engagement. We strive to give you service above and beyond what you are charged for. We want you to feel free to discuss our fees with us at any time
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to the stringent testing and application process, the IRS requires Enrolled Agents to complete 72 hours of continuing professional education, reported every three years, to maintain their EA status. NAEA members are obligated to complete 90 hours per three-year reporting period. Because of the knowledge necessary to become an EA and the requirements to maintain the license, there are only about 40,000 practicing EAs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Taxpayers need to evaluate their choice of tax professional based on their credentials, experience, and reputation. Too many taxpayers choose a tax preparer based on price alone. A preparer that doesn't charge much may cost you much more in missed deductions, credits, or long term planning. Bailey Tax & Accounting has several Enrolled Agents on staff. The only designation granted by the US Treasury Department to those who specialize and show competence in taxation is that of the Enrolled Agent. Bailey Tax & Accounting has been around since 1980 and has built a very positive reputation in the community. Most of our new clientele is from referrals from existing clients who come to us year after year.
