- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Custom hand painted ceramic tile murals, ready for installation are priced at $150.00 per sq. ft. plus shipping, handling & insurance. Minimum order is 1 sq. ft. - Nine 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" tiles equal just over 1 sq. ft. - Four 6" x 6" tiles equal 1 sq. ft. Custom hand painted tumbled marble tile murals, ready for installation are priced at $165.00 per sq. ft. plus shipping, handling & insurance. Individual accent tiles can also be created. Accent tiles are available in 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" - $29 ea. 6" x 6" - $39 ea. 8" x 8" - $79 ea. and 12" x 12" -$159 ea. plus shipping. House Plaques and House Signs- standard size ovals are 7"x10" $75.00 +S&H and 8"x14" $95.00 +S&H. We are now able to create house plaques in custom designs i.e. dolphins, shells, etc. Prices and details available upon request. Cost of shipping of International orders will vary based on destination.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At KL Tile Murals I strive to create the highest quality unique works of art for each of my clients. Using ceramic tile and tumbled marble as my canvas, I work painstakingly with each client to clarify their vision, capture it, and create a signature mural that reflects their personality, and blends harmoniously with their environment.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My name is Kathy Carroll. I am a native of Tom's River, New Jersey and have been living in South Florida since 1983. I have over 20 years of experience creating custom hand-painted tile murals, and have been painting for over 35 years. I paint in all genres but the majority of my works are in tropical themes, nature, landscapes, seascapes, and marine life. I began painting professionally in 1992 and in 2002 I started marketing my art work through the internet as KL Tile Murals (my maiden name was Kathy Lempicki). Since that time I have been commissioned to create hundreds of tile murals and tumbled marble murals for residential and commercial clients throughout much of the United States and in locations as far away as Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.
