About
Our business stands out when quality is understood, be it in materials, furniture, planning... each aspect of the design must balance. An inexpensive chair with expensive fabric is not an asset even if you love the fabric. I think quality and balance always gains respect.
Think of all the elements of a job and I enjoy them all. The client, the process of agreements between us, the process of finding just the right thing and to see it all come together in harmony with all the rules of design.... line, form, tone, texture, color.... you have a winner.

My husband and I would EXTREMELY HIGHLY recommend Hatley and Thompson. There AREN'T ENOUGH STARS IN THE SKY TO RATE THEM!!!! We hired Hatley and Thompson for our newly constructed home in Florida while still living up north. Everything was done by email and telephone. We didn't have to spend any money or time to travel to Florida at all during the process. The finished product is breathtaking!! Every room from ceiling to floor and wall to wall is absolutely stunning and beautifully put together. We could never have done this ourselves in several lifetimes. Their expertise and extremely good taste and recommendations are priceless. I would trust them to choose everything but they made sure the home suited our likes and wants and they worked tirelessly with us to achieve this and make it our own. They went above and beyond the scope of interiordesign. They educated us every step of the way and gave us background on even the smallest details of the project. They even went ahead and helped us eliminate an ant problem that they noticed and educated us on hurricanes, insurance, cleaning products, table coverings and much much more. Finally, they are honest, quality people of extremely high character and we are lucky to have met them and feel as we are now friends! We would use them over and over and over!!!!!!

Here's the pro's reply when I asked why I should pay for someone to come see my space when others do it for free:
"I am very sorry, but my time is not free, nor is anyone worth seeing going to spend two or three hours as a gift to you. Clients expect to pay for a designer's time and knowledge. Thank you for your consideration."
I think this reply says it all.

Totally misunderstood. Wanted her to understand that $1200.00 would not afford what she was asking for. I, then went on to explain how she could use the money to get her place furnished. Advised going to a place that gives credit like Rooms to go and make payments. She could have money left to get kitchen items and Lenin’s. Not to use all her money for a interior designer and not get furniture.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing about interior design is standard it all depends on client, budget, and project. The budget is set by the client, we find items to complete our design goal that fit that budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet client...Determine needs...know clients budget. Know preferences...do presentation. We will make changes according to the desires of the client and re- present.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from Ringling School of art with degree in interior design. I began work in commercial, doing restaurants, law firms, medical facilities, country clubs and retail store design. I then changed to Residential design to increase my capabilities as a designer. I went to New York and started work at Bloomingdales under Barbara Darcy and with Richard Nadel. I believe there is no project that I am not well versed in how to preform.
