It was a pleasure working with Omar all along. Even though I only got in touch with him 10 days before my wedding he still found time to meet with us and discuss what wedding style we are expecting, he showed us samples of previous work similar to what we were expecting.
On the wedding day he showed up on time and suited up. He proceeded to take pictures of the hall and to take family and couples pictures. Even through the stress of a wedding he stayed calm and managed to blend in with the guests (if it weren't for the camera you'd think he's a guest!) which helped him take great pictures that he also delivered to us on time! 100% would hire again!

It was great working with Omar for our same-sex wedding at the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco. He was able to capture the setting perfectly and did an amazing job, even with the cloudy weather. He has a great sense of lighting and composition.
He made my husband (yay) and me feel very comfortable and made the best day in our lives even better. We would definitely recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing could seem complicated with photographers: there are many variables to consider to better understand how photographers charge. For my part, it's mainly based on the amount of time a project requires and the level of details/stress/attention needed.
The best way to determine pricing for your project is to have a live conversation and discuss it together.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My preference would be to set a face to face meeting to discuss client's needs and give me an opportunity to present my work.
Then, it comes down to tailoring my services to the client's needs through a quote/proposal.
Once we agree upon that, a written contract is executed to ensure everything is documented.
Because of distance and timing, it may not always be easy to meet...which is fine with me, I have been booked via text message and emails then met clients the day of their photo session. I can adapt and I'm equipped to handle everything from my dear smartphone ;-)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned photography at a young age on my father's 35mm cameras. He was a photographer and introduced me to the basic settings and basic principles of lighting when I was 10. It wasn't until I became a father myself that I started practicing taking pictures daily on our first baby girl. I relied on a couple books but mainly on tutorials I found online to progress and master some techniques. The learning of the fundamentals of photography coupled with a lot of practice (A LOT) helped me achieve a level reasonable enough to quit my day job and become a full time photographer.
