What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a saying here in our company that the cheapest price isn’t always the least expensive. While money is always important to consider when choosing an electrical contractor, hiring a very experienced and licensed contractor will actually end up saving you thousands of dollars of mis diagnostics and inappropriate installations.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Very typically, the way we work with our customers is for one, listen very carefully to what their electrical needs are. Next we will ask a lot of questions to make sure we understand the nature of the electrical problem. We will make a determination at this point whether or not it is a troubleshooting service call or some form of an electrical modification and schedule the service call immediately.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Extensive schooling in electrical theory, code, designs and practical applications. Educated in the 80s: trade school and college. received my first journeyman’s certificate in 1983 now licensed as a state master electrical contractor.
I was also the chief technology officer for two high tech companies Inc. where we designed and built power conditioning devices. I was trained in a power conditioning business to analyze electrical systems, looking for distortion and power quality issues.
