- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Sometimes the hardest step is making the phone call. It can be easy to put it off, to dismiss the struggle you are in or to minimize the pain. Please be good to yourself and make the call, make the appointment and get the support you need. Look for someone who specializes in what you are struggling in. You want to make sure they are licensed or under a licensed supervisor.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
You do not have to have a crisis to seek counseling and if you do seek counseling it does not mean you are "crazy". Counseling gives you the opportunity to process through the areas in your life where you feel stuck, hopeless, scared, lost, etc. Sometimes all you need is a chance to talk things through with someone who is not biased, who doesn't know you and who can ask you the right questions.
