Introduction: no "design diva" here. jumping into the DESIGN POOL should be a FUN, collaborative, transforming experience. i think a lot of people shy away from "designers" because when they hear that WORD, the image of $$$ comes to mind. i am not shopping FULL RETAIL for ANYTHING, if i can help it :-) i am looking for the $15 pillow that looks like the $100 pillow. who could argue with that? i am a professed "professional shopper." i love THE HUNT. finding unique, interesting things to add interest to my clients homes. the THING i LIKE/LOVE the most? the look on my client's face when walking into the room/space/environment that i have transformed for them. whether it's a restyling using the client's own things, (which i enjoy as much as a larger, more detailed job) or a total overhaul, THAT look and ENERGY is palatable, and indescribable. it is what i live for. period. i get paid for what i do, but if i didn't, i could LIVE on THOSE LOOKS alone.

Patt is bright, funny, resourceful and has a keen design eye. She was very responsive to our project requests and delivered amazing results, within budget. Although I know she has numerous clients and projects that she is managing simultaneously, Patt always made us feel that our project was her only priority, and she quickly established an easy rapport that made decision making stress free. Experienced, creative and a joy to work with!

Working with Pat has been an exceptional experience. She is not only a great professional but a totally warming personality. She gave us so many ideas for our living room decor without having us to bother about finances upfront. Totally recommend her for any design consultation.

Patt listens and brings you many options from which to choose, and somehow knows what you are going to choose before you do. Can't wait for the finished project. Thanks, Patt!!!❤️

YOU, Ms. Becky, are a gem! Thank you ever so kindly for these most gracious words. I look forward to MORE of the process, and of course, the final tweaking of your new environs! It is a pleasure working (and laughing) with you...and Mr. Monty and Mr. Jax, of course! Merci beaucoup, Madame! p

I absolutely LOVED working with Patt Farrell! She turned our house into the home of our dreams! She is an excellent listener and incorporated my ideas in such creative ways around the house that bring me such delight; sometimes I can hardly believe I live here! In addition to being a breath of fresh air and a lot of fun to work with, Patt is REALLY good at finding AMAZING deals to help you stretch your budget. For instance, the dining room table in the "after" photos (which is 53" and has a leaf to accommodate up to 8 people; and I expected to pay around $1,200) she found for $130!!! I had it refinished to the darker wood color but still saved a lot of money on it. That's just one example of the great deals she found for us. If you're looking for someone who's easy to talk to, fun to work with, will listen to what YOU want to do in your home (not push their style or budget on you), and will save you a pretty penny, I HIGHLY recommend contacting Patt Farrell with Patt Farrell Designs.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

HELLO! let's start simply! no pressure. (sometimes all it takes is an hour or so, depending on the scope of your job, but all fees will be discussed UP FRONT, so that there are NO SURPRISES moving forward!)... during that time we will chat first about who i am, how i work, how we will work together and a bit about my design philosophy! from there, we'll do a walk-through of your space(s), and talk about what general and specific thoughts you have in mind...this is a true WORKING SESSION! i will ask questions, make suggestions, open your mind to new ideas! we might even start moving furniture and accessories around to show how those simple things can immediately change a space! the next phase, beyond on-site initial consult time is me preparing a "guess-timte" document for you. this basically entails a WISH LIST of all sorts of items that i perceive you need (items and/or services) in your spaces, with mid-range retail pricing associated with it. this'll give you a general idea and scope of your budget...from there, YOU DECIDE on what you want to prioritize and move forward with. all design fees and time are billed at $95/hr., which is well below higher-priced designers. i can work on an hourly rate OR on a pre-determined BUDGET figure. let's chat about WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

we might have already talked about your general design needs, and style, which will get us jump-started at that initial consult. from there, we will walk and talk through the space(s) that need "help", i'll make notes, take pictures, and then formulate a general "guess-timate" for items and work for approval before moving forward. at all times, will we converse about work and fee expectations! easy. peasy. then, idea boards will be shared and let the DESIGN MAGIC BEGIN!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

LOTS!! i have been in the design industry on many levels, for more than 40 years. i also have graphic design, advertising and photography backgrounds that DEFINITELY ADD TO MY DESIGN MAGIC! having a "design EYE" is something that i am VERY PROUD to have....this magic cannot be taught, it is just part of one's being. CLIENTS SEEM TO APPRECIATE all THAT!
