Introduction: We all come "hard-wired" with certain kinds of tendencies that shape who we are. Those tendencies affect absolutely every area of our lives - how we view and respond to our world, how we are motivated, how we spend our money, how we tend to interact with others, how we do our work, etc.
When we understand how we're "wired," we can more effectively work with ourselves to be our most productive best. And, because these tendencies are observable, we can learn to read those tendencies in others in order to work more effective with them.
Therefore, I use the DISC Model of Human Behavior as the basis of what I teach. While other providers may use it as a tool of individual discovery only, I believe that stops short of its real power. Since life is made up of relationships, it is highly valuable to also use this information in learning how to communicate and deal better with those we live with, work with, and are friends with.
I have over 20 years of experience in teaching others how to maximize the use of this tool in every kind of relationship and facet of life. I have worked one-on-one with individuals, worked with couples, trained executives, spoken for a variety of organizations (both large and small) and been a key-note speaker for meetings and retreats. I love watching the "light bulbs" of understanding go on when individuals begin to get answers to the questions of why they and others do what they do. That understanding causes them to be more tolerant of others and their differences and helps them work together more effectively.
