- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing for most consumer cases is handled on a flat fee basis. If the debtor owns a small business, or operates a business as a sole proprietor, or is involved in a lot of ongoing litigation - fees may be an elevated flat fee, an hourly fee charged against a retainer or some combination.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I conduct a structured interview - in the age of COVID, conducted by telephone or video conference. I gather tax, creditor and asset information and draft an initial petition to review with a potential client, to help them fully understand the process before they commit to engaging my firm.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, earning degrees in Economics, Business and Law. I also attended Indiana University and Georgia Tech for professional certificate courses.
