Custom Cabinet Building
We had kitchen cabinets that were water damaged and had several layers of paint. Cabinet Elves took them in and made them look as if they were brand new again. They also helped us to rebuild our island to fit a microwave and created a new drawer from scratch matching our cabinets. I would hire them again on a heartbeat.Jun 30, 2018Verified
We had our kitchen cabinets repainted and Jeff did a wonderful job! Our kitchen looks brand new. Jeff was very professional and personable. We had to go out of town in the middle of the project and Jeff came out on a Sunday, day before 4th of July, and completed project. We now have painted cabinets with crown molding, undermount lights, and soft close drawers and doors. We'll be calling Jeff in the future for other projects for sure.Jul 5, 2016VerifiedThe Cabinet Elves's reply
We appreciate your kind words, Donovan. We love to hear when we have a satisfied customer, and we would be happy to complete any further projects for you.
The Cabinet Elves painted my dark cabinets white and I'm in love with my kitchen. Everyone in the company was kind, gracious, professional, and I felt safe having them in my home while they worked. Everything was left finished and clean. I am very pleased with the results and will recommend them to my friends.Aug 21, 2015Verified
Custom Cabinet Building
On 3/6/16 we hired Jeff Tardy to build a media cabinet for us. His promise was to have the entire unit built and delivered on 4/6/16. What followed was a nightmare. On 4/6/16 date of delivery, he called to say he couldn't come because his painting booth caught on fire and promised to come the following day. On 4/9/16 he said he was unhappy with paint finish and had to repaint. We paid a visit to his shop that very day. No evidence of a fire. Our cabinet was partially finished but not a drop of paint had been applied. He apologized and said the story was too long..but that he would have it ready the next day. On 4/16 Jeff arrived 2 hours late with only 2 of the bottom pieces which were incomplete. The excuses continued for another 3 weeks..stuff fell off the truck, he stayed up all night working on our stuff , paint wet, crashed his car, his men following behind with missing pieces..they never showed. In the end, many things were wrong like three different shades of white paint was used, the center unit was askew, shelves were bowed, molding was joined in 3 places, the top of the unit was left misaligned and unsightly. Doors were hung wrong, crown molding installed poorly. Gaps where there shouldn't be any. Fillers on end couldn't match because of poor measurements. The unit was not level in several places and off by 1/4 to 1/2 inches in several places. The worst was the TV couldn't fit in the designated space. We have photos and texts to support our claim. Jeff did attempt to fix some of the problems.. but obviously he is not a media cabinet maker. All of his promises were just empty words. His actions and deceitfulness were borderline criminal. Jeff was given professional drawings used by the builder for the same type of unit which were installed in several homes in this development. Finally, we do not want anyone to have an experience like ours..please do not use this man to build you anything..he does know how to use a measuring tape.May 13, 2016Verified
Cabinet Refinishing and Repair
Jeff and Steven just transformed my cherry cabinets by painting them white. Additionally they inserted a glass panel in one upper cabinet and installed the soft closure doors/drawers and new hardware. Looks beautiful and completely transforms the area!! (People need to know it is a bit of a process and completely disrupts your kitchen for about a week...but so worth it!) They were very courteous and trustworthy! I had to leave them alone twice in my home and felt comfortable doing so. The finished product was beautiful and they even left some touch up paint,in case I would need it at a later date. They were thorough, cleaned up and made sure that I was satisfied. Would definitely reuse them for later projects!!Feb 26, 2016Verified
- What types of customers have you worked with?We mostly make higher end kitchen cabinets. We occasionally reface old kitchens to give them new life. We also often do closets and bathroom vanities, as well as entertainment centers and fireplace built-ins.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Take the time to check references (previous work of customers) making sure that the quality of their work will satisfy your needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?I genuinely care about what I do for a living and care about each customer being happy with my work. Custom cabinets and furniture are not cheap, but The quality is exceptional and equal to high end furniture galleries like Ethan Allen or Crate and Barrel.
